UBC DAP students are invited to attend a special ESG-themed panel event, hosted by UBC Sauder Continuing Business Studies and the Centre for Business & Climate Solutions.
Hear from the following panelists, moderated by Kookai Chaimahawong, Executive Director of the new UBC Sauder Centre for Business & Climate Solutions:
Learn about how businesses are navigating the intricacies of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) implementation, such as managing stakeholder expectations and the inherent tension between short-term profitability and long-term sustainability commitments. This event is a must-attend for students interested in learning about ESG’s impact on finance and accounting, and how to implement sustainable business solutions that will have a positive impact on the planet.
Tickets are $15, but UBC DAP students receive a 30% discount using the discount-code UBC30
Networking: A catered networking reception will follow the panel event

Due to the weather, we’ve decided to postpone the Say Cheese LinkedIn photo-shoot and pizza networking event scheduled for Thursday, January 18 at the Birmingham Room. We will reschedule the event, and keep you posted on the new date! Apologies for the inconvenience.

In response to extreme weather conditions, the University may decide to cancel or reschedule academic activities and curtail non-essential services.
In the event that there is no university-wide class cancellation announcement, but there is an inclement weather warning in effect, your instructor may also opt to adjust the scheduled in-person class. Please monitor your Canvas Announcements and email for any further direction and information from your instructors, as well as ubc.ca for the most up-to-date information about campus-wide class cancellations.
Generally, UBC’s goal is to communicate these decisions by 6:00am for morning and afternoon Learning Activities, and no later than 3:00pm for evening Learning Activities.
