In response to extreme weather conditions, the University may decide to cancel or reschedule academic activities and curtail non-essential services.

In the event that there is no university-wide class cancellation announcement, but there is an inclement weather warning in effect,  your instructor may also opt to adjust the scheduled in-person class. Please monitor your Canvas Announcements and email for any further direction and information from your instructors, as well as ubc.ca for the most up-to-date information about campus-wide class cancellations.

Generally, UBC’s goal is to communicate these decisions by 6:00am for morning and afternoon Learning Activities, and no later than 3:00pm for evening Learning Activities.

Second Public Practice Recruit (PPR) Workshop Scheduled for February 12!

Are you looking to make some valuable connections from those currently working in accounting roles? Interested in finding out more about different firms, public practice and industry? If yes, then this session is highly recommended!

Meaningful connections can be made through both organized and proactive opportunities. These contacts can result in informational interviews/coffee chats that can provide critical information to target firms, prepare tailored applications, and stand out in interviews. Come learn some strategies and connect with our panel of senior students that recently networked their way to success.

A zoom link will be provided to those registered 1 business day before the workshop.

First Public Practice Recruit (PPR) Workshop: Intro to Public Practice Recruit: Stand Out from the Crowd will take place at 4:45 PM on Jan 29th 2025.
