The CPA Profession in Canada is updating the CPA certification program to align with Competency Map 2.0. On September 16th, the CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB) shared information on the new program, the CPA Professional Program (CPP), which includes a refresh of both the education and work experience requirements, which you can find here: Introducing the CPA Professional Program.
As a DAP student, we anticipate that you are currently working toward completing the requirements for admission to the CPA program. Please note that January 2027 will be the last opportunity to start the current CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) and be eligible to write the final offering of the Common Final Exam (CFE) in September 2028. To start PEP in January 2027, you must meet all current CPA PEP admission requirements by the end of December 2026.
Students who begin the CPA program after this date will need to be admitted to the new CPA Professional Program (CPP).
