Jul 15 5:30pm – 7:00pm CPABC Accounting Night in Canada Online Are you internationally educated and looking to continue your accounting career in Canada? Join this free info session for internationally trained professionals in accounting and finance. Learn about CPA program admission requirements, career benefits, B.C.’s economic outlook, and newcomer employment resources.  Special guest: Windmill Microlending, a Canadian charity offering low-interest microloans to help skilled newcomers cover licensing and credentialing costs.  
Jul 17 12:00pm – 12:30pm Practical Experience Requirements (PER) Q&A Session Online Have questions about the CPA Practical Experience Requirements (PER)? Join our free 30-minute Q&A session with CPABC staff—designed for prospective CPA learners not yet enrolled in the CPA PEP. This session will focus on FAQs, pre-submitted, and live audience questions.  
Note: No formal CPA program overview will be provided during the session. Please watch the PER overview video before attending.

Reminder: 2025 CPABC Case Competition Application Deadline Approaching – Register by January 24

This is a friendly reminder that the deadline to apply to CPABC Annual Business Case Competition 2025 is January 24!

CPABC Annual Business Case Competition 2025

Registration Deadline: January 24, 2025 at 1:00pm PST

First Round: January 31 – February 2, 2025 (video submission)

Final Round: March 22, 2025 (in-person presentation)

CPABC is calling all BC and Yukon post-secondary students!

Are you ready to tackle real-world business challenges and compete for cash prizes up to $2,400? Gather your teammates and join the CPABC Business Case Competition to showcase your problem-solving skills and innovative ideas.

The competition is a business strategy case competition consisting of two rounds. The top 8 teams from the First Round will be invited to compete in the Final Round at the CPABC office in downtown Vancouver, followed by an evening networking and celebration reception at Shangri-La Vancouver. In addition to the top 8 teams, another 32 teams will be invited to the evening reception. This is a fantastic opportunity to network with sponsors, invited CPAs, and fellow students.
