Walmart Behaves Unethically

As we all know, Walmart is the No. 1 company in the world. It is well-known among people and plays an essential role in our life. Such a huge and widely known company should behave as a model. However, it disappoints us.

Deborah Shank, who worked for Walmart before. She signed up for Walmart’s health and benefits plan when she was working in Walmart. Unfortunately, her brain was permanently damaged by an accident in 2000. She has to live in a nursing house with a wheelchair. She and her family got $700,000 for settlement. However, Walmart asked money back after six years.

Deborah Shank’s husband has cancer. He cannot afford his wife’s health care and their youngest son’s education anymore. Walmart still insist to get money back. He is disappointed.

Walmart, as a company, it should take care of its employees and take its responsibilities to them. Nevertheless, it behaves an opposite way. It is supposed to represent a positive public image to people, to be ethical. However, it makes us despise its behaviour.

I searched some comments of Walmart online, and I found out that Walmart earned many negative commentaries. Some people even appeal to us to stop shopping at Walmart. Moreover, some people use swear words. It is obviously that Walmart has a really bad reputation among people. It is losing its consumers.

In many people’s view, Walmart is a cold-blooded company and behaves unethically.
