1. Introducing efolios

UBC’s Teacher Education program encourages teacher candidates to use UBC’s WordPress blog software to build efolios. This program allows you to display a range of your work using various types of media including:

  • MS Word
  • PDF files
  • power point
  • web-links
  • audio
  • video
  • graphics
  • other multimedia

Your efolio can also be easily moved, archived and shared with others worldwide, and you can share your work with prospective employers, colleagues, friends and family.

Efolios developed by teacher candidates in UBC’s Teacher Education Program are professional, web-based collections that include:

  • selected evidence and artifacts from coursework
  • artifacts from extra-curricular activities and practica
  • reflective annotations and commentary related to these experiences

It is recommended that teacher candidates maintain a professional portfolio throughout their BEd program. Additionally, if they choose to create their portfolio using the UBC blogs, they are encouraged to refer to these help and resource pages for assistance.
