It’s almost that time of the month again! Every second Wednesday of the month, Educational Technology Support (ETS) hosts Technology in Transit. Technology in Transit is a space for Teacher Candidates to showcase and raise awareness of different teaching and learning technologies that they have been actively using. The one-hour lunch period session offers people the capacity to drop-in and engage with the learning technology as they walk by the Scarfe foyer during their lunch break.
Come by to see Brittney Merryweather showcase Explain Everything, an easy to use interactive whiteboard and screencasting app that teachers and students can use to visually represent information, materials, and lessons.
You can find Brittney from 12-1pm in the Scarfe foyer on Wednesday, November 12. This session is open to all Education students, faculty, and staff. Drop by, say hi, learn something new, and support a fellow Teacher Candidate!

About Brittney:
Brittney is a UBC BEd student in the Middle Years Self Regulated Learning cohort. She specializes in science, and graduated from SFU with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioural Neuroscience. Brittney is not, and has never considered herself very tech literate, but has been drawn to the amazing opportunities to incorporate technology into her classroom to enhance learning. Thanks to the Sandbox sessions, the amazing tech help offered at lunch times in Scarfe, and the CUEBC professional development workshop, this is now a reality. Brittney actively works with apps such as Class Dojo, Plickers, and Explain Everything, websites such as Prezi and Piktochart, and other programs such as movie maker in her practicum classroom. She has also designed a unit which incorporates Google Street View, Skype, and QR codes, which she is very excited to initiate.
