I am a second year student in the Master of Education School and Applied Child Psychology program. Once I finish my degree, I’d like to work in school districts, and then we’ll see what comes. I grew up in Port Coquitlam, BC and completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in behavioural neuroscience at UBC. I got interested in this field when I saw a presentation introducing this program and field! Working with alongside my cohort emphasizes the collaborative nature of this profession and role. I lean on my cohort heavily, and they’re always incredibly supportive! I hope that my future roles have collaborative environments like this one. A fun fact about me is that I’ve usually got a journal of food and drink ideas that are stewing in my head. Also, a kombucha brew that I’ve kept alive for 3 years. Advice I have for future graduate students is to make sure to have a hobby that you can enjoy!
