I grew up in Toronto before completing my honours Bachelor Arts and Science in both Statistics and Psychology at the University of Guelph. During my time at the University of Guelph I worked completed two honours theses; one on the replication crisis in psychology and the other on developing an intervention for math anxiety. I was excited to move closer to the mountains and ocean to complete my Master of Arts in School Psychology at UBC where I continued to research an intervention for math anxiety. My Master’s thesis Exploring A Combined Instructional and Self-Regulatory Intervention for Math Anxiety was a SSHRC funded research project in which I designed and implemented a novel intervention that incorporated both self-regulated learning and schema-based math instruction. I am currently enrolled in the PhD program where I look forward to continuing researching ways to support students experiencing social emotional and academic difficulties. Specifically, I am interested in researching ways to support post-secondary students with disabilities. Throughout my PhD I aspire to further assimilate with west coast culture by learning to ski, surf, and take on challenging hikes!
