Current Students

Rachel Maja

I grew up in a small town from Alberta, completing half of her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology before continuing at the University of Victoria. During this time, I completed an honors thesis which examined adverse childhood experiences and executive functioning. Following graduation, I took some time off to prepare for the GRE, apply to graduate schools, and find work within education. I spent one year working with children, which inspired me to continue on this path and apply for School Psychology. My current research interests include early exposure to trauma, and how this may shape neurodevelopment. In the long term, I hope to pursue a career as a registered psychologist and work in a private practice.
