Abdullah Saadeddin
My name is Abdullah Saadeddin, and I am a second-year Master of Arts student in the School and Applied Child Psychology program. I moved to Canada from the United Arab Emirates at the age of 11 and grew up in London, Ontario before relocating to British Columbia to pursue this degree. My previous research explored newcomer groups and their attitudes toward acculturation in new environments. Currently, my work focuses on adolescents with ADHD and their experiences with structured weight training. I aspire to become a school psychologist who supports the diverse needs of youth, particularly those from newcomer communities who often face barriers to accessing adequate services. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, experimenting with new recipes, and hiking in Canada’s beautiful mountains. A fun fact about me is that I am part of one of the most well-known Dabke groups in North America, performing at weddings and creating content that showcases Levantine culture.
