Linnea Kalchos
Hi, I’m Linnea Kalchos, a fourth-year PhD student originally from Ontario. I completed my undergraduate degree at Queen’s University, where I studied global development, history, and teacher education. Before starting my graduate studies, I worked as a high school teacher in Australia. My doctoral research focuses on the lived experiences of newcomer young women in high schools, exploring their experiences of school integration through critical social justice and transnational feminist lenses. I’m committed to becoming a well-rounded practitioner in both intervention and assessment, to support children, youth, and families who might otherwise face barriers to timely, responsive care in the community. I’m currently completing my clinical residency at the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre and McMaster Children’s Hospital with Hamilton Health Sciences.
