Kathleen Walsh
My name is Kathleen, and I am in my PhD year 7. I am from St. John’s, Newfoundland. I am currently working to complete and defend my dissertation. My research focuses on teacher wellbeing and the systemic effects of the school system on teachers. I am very passionate about my clinical work as a clinician specializing in neurodevelopmental assessment. My focus is on assessing less obvious forms of autism in women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals. The advice I would give my younger self is the same advice I share today – people remember how you make them feel. Leading with that intention in both my personal and professional relationships has been crucial in guiding my actions and fostering a sense of community wherever I go.
