Veronique Nguy

Veronique Nguy (M.Ed.) is doctoral candidate of the School and Applied Child Psychology Program at the University of British Columbia. Veronique grew up in Hong Kong before moving to Vancouver to complete her undergraduate studies in Psychology. Veronique completed her Masters of Education in School Psychology at the University of British Columbia before she started working as a School Psychologist in the BC public school system since 2012. Over the years, she has also worked in university clinics, hospital settings, community mental health and private clinics in different roles and capacities. Specifically, her training focuses on providing psychoeducational, autism spectrum disorder, and other diagnostic assessments as well as treatment for children, youth and adults with neurodevelopmental (e.g., Learning Disorders, Autism, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disoder, Intellectual Developmental Disorder), mental health, and behavioral disorders. Veronique speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English. As a multilingual practitioner, Veronique’s research focuses on understanding and improving multicultural practices for psychologists in BC.
