About me and my blog

I have been meaning to start this blog for some time now, but a variety of things (notably a deep suspicion of social media) have led to me to delay posting.  It’s high time to get things started.

I am a political scientist at the University of British Columbia.  My research focuses on parliamentary politics and political parties, but I’m also very interested in democratic development and political history. My teaching also extends into statistical methods.  I’ll be posting – hopefully, semi-regularly – about political events that I find interesting, books and papers that I’ve read, and research that I am doing (or wish I could do).

I’ll start by talking about these things: https://blogs.ubc.ca/unparliamentary/?p=57
