UBC has built its core around values – academic freedom, integrity, and connections – that consistently lead to excellence in teaching, learning, and research. It brings together colleagues from varied disciplines and backgrounds that put these common principles into practice and strive to improve upon them through their experiences, initiatives, and innovations, or even simply in the ways in which they relate to and inspire one another. These impacts and relationships are what make this large university feel like home to many of us who have come here to work, study, and carry out research from different pockets of the world. This is why I make a conscious effort to share my knowledge and experience with others through pedagogical innovation and mentorship. In this section of my ePortfolio, I will showcase mentorship-related initiatives I have been involved in thus far.
