Subject: LinkedIn Best Practices
During my research I have gathered a list of important LinkedIn profile best practices. Given these findings, I’ve written this memo to share these best practices in order to enhance your LinkedIn page. Hopefully this information is useful for creating a great LinkedIn profile.
- Complete your page. Filling out all your information such as your experience, skills and education get you 30% more weekly views.
- Maintain a professional profile photo. Your LinkedIn photo is often the first impression of a profile. You want a clean, professional photo to present your best self.
- Have a good headline. Like the profile photo, your headline is often one of the first things someone will notice. Make it count!
- Collect recommendations. Having a well-written recommendation from a former boss or colleague can speak very highly of you.
- Personalize your connection request. Many professionals, especially recruiters, receive numerous requests every day. You ideally need to make your connection personal to get noticed.
- Keep your info up to date. You always want to have your profile be relevant to your current career. This way, if opportunities arise, it’ll be for the right reasons.
