Your 10 Question End-of-Year Reflection

The end of the Gregorian Calendar is upon us! While we may not feel the same with applications ramping up in our academic calendar and our own personal calendars, the few days off in December provide an excellent opportunity for reflection. This season I encourage you to hit pause, even for 5 minutes, to look back at your past year to celebrate all the little and big moments.

Below are a list of questions to help you look back and reminisce. An accompanying warm beverage is highly recommend.

  • What was an unexpected joy this past year?
  • What am I particularly grateful for?
  • In what way(s) did I grow in my relationships with others?
  • What was a kind thing someone did for me this year?
  • What was the kindest thing I did for someone?
  • What was the most enjoyable part of my work?
  • What new skills or knowledge did I learn?
  • What did I learn about myself?
  • In what way did I break out of my comfort zone?
  • What made me laugh the hardest this year?
