Professional Background: Laurie recently moved to Vancouver from Scotland. She has a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies. Prior to UBC, Laurie worked in Marketing at the University of Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian University, and Universal Music Group in New York.
Personal: Laurie love exploring new places and becoming a local in a new city, hence the move across the Atlantic! Laurie had never been to Vancouver before moving here so she feels very much like she is winging it….so far so good!!
Laurie’s main interest is writing music. Recently, she spent two years recording an album in Scotland called ‘The Girl Who Cried For The Boy Who Cried Wolf’, which was released in July 2015. If you want to have a listen you can find it here!
Now that Laurie has checked off Number 1 on her bucket list, her main goals in life are to own a Jeep Wrangler and a Husky, and road trip around the world….someday one day!!
