Congratulations Katja!

Katja Clark, Associate Director of Student Communications Services has been awarded the 2018 President’s Staff Award for Enhancing the UBC Experience.

As many of you know, Katja has worked with Enrolment Services, in a number of roles, for the past 10 years. She began in the old Records & Registration unit before moving to her current unit, Student Communications Services a few years later. Many of us have worked closely with Katja over the years and know that she is very deserving of this award. Congratulations Katja!

In the award nomination letters, Katja’s colleagues outlined some of the many reasons why she is deserving of a President’s Staff Award. These include her genuine concern for the personal and professional growth and well being of others, the innovative approaches she takes to improving the user experience of our websites for students, her dedication to engaging with students through workshops, labs,  and volunteer and employment opportunities, and her willingness to go the extra mile to make a difference for others.
