Did you know that nearly 1 million British Columbians aged 15 to 64 years, almost 25% of the population, identify as having a disability? We also know that due to stigma, many individuals do not self-identify despite having conditions that affect their ability to integrate and thrive within the workplace.

UBC’s new Centre for Workplace Accessibility (CWA) is a hub for staff that supports you with accessing resources, tools and programs to help remove barriers for staff with disabilities or ongoing medical conditions.

As part of the launch of the CWA, there is also a fund available to support units with the accommodations that may have a cost, such as specialized services, software, equipment or specialized furniture.
