No matter how healthy you are, anyone can get the flu

The flu is a serious disease that spreads easily from person to person through coughing, sneezing, or having face-to-face contact. The flu spreads especially rapid on university campuses because we work, study and socialize so closely. Help promote a happy and healthy campus community by getting the flu shot.

The vaccine is safe, and it works

Getting the vaccine is still the best way to avoid catching the flu and prevent passing it on. The vaccine is safe; it contains killed influenza viruses that cannot cause the flu. Even if the vaccine doesn’t match the strain of flu going around, it provides some protection.
