Max Mitchell comes to the ESP team from the Faculty of Medicine where he managed the Radiology and Nuclear Medicine residency programs out of Vancouver General Hospital. He’s excited to be back on campus and interacting with students.
Max has a degree from UBC in Asian Area Studies, where he specialized in Japanese religion. He can barely speak the language, but this does not stop his mother from introducing him as fluent to her Japanese dinner guests, resulting in high-caliber awkwardness for all.
Outside of work, Max produces video and live comedy, including a new web series that’s filming now and a live show in this year’s Victoria Fringe Festival. At this moment, he is feeling great about the web-series and very nervous about the live show. However, these feelings fluctuate dramatically.
