On Friday, May 6th, staff and faculty members from across UBC’s Okanagan campus put down their work and picked up their running shoes to participate in the 4th Annual Staff and Faculty Sports Day.
Whether your motivation was to win, have some fun with your colleagues, or just to enjoy the free lunch, there was something for everyone at Sports Day.

The event started with a group warm up and some light stretching.

Spread out across the Commons were 10 different stations, ranging in the level of difficulty and competition. These activities included tried and true favourites like the classic Spoon & Egg Race and the Three-legged Race, as well as some new favourites like Brains & Brawn.
Some teams excelled in the physical activities, while others shined in the intellectual challenges.

Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all. With a total of 114 participants, 20 teams, and 16 volunteers, the event was a big success.
Thank you to everyone who participated. And an even bigger thank you to our colleagues from Campus Recreation, Campus Life, and Human Resources for putting together such a phenomenal event. Looking forward to next year!
