I decided to do my EVA on a platform that I have been using in my classroom and have found to be very effective, Edmodo. I have been using Edmodo for about four years and I am continually astonished at all the things that can be done with it. For an application that is free to all users, it provides great customer service, ongoing professional development through the company itself, and through the connections made with the groups and other teachers globally. It allows teachers and students to continue learning and collaborating outside of the school’s brick walls.
Edmodo has grown in leaps and bounds since its inception in 2008 and shows no signs of slowing down. I am excited to see what they develop in the future for education.

Prezi was an excellent platform to do your analyst report on. Your information was well managed and clearly written. I may have missed it but did you have an intended investor? I could imagine this prezi being used at a school division meeting or school board meeting with a presenter. Do you use edmodo? I don’t think it was necessary but it might have been interesting to show how you personally use it or how someone else has actually done some of the stuff that was explained. Great job!
Thank you! I was unsure. You have hit it right on, my presentation would be aimed at the School Board or specific schools, perhaps the superintendent for an area. Since it is free, it does not have to be pitched for purchase, but more for use and accessibility for the teachers. I found out about it at a PD meeting on Ed Tech in the Classroom.
I do use it in my classroom and have for about 4 years now. Every year I find new ways to incorporate it into my program, and they are always adding upgrades and new things. I attend Edmodocon each year. I did include a suggestion as to how it could be used for discussion purposes with other schools on one of the slides, which is something I have done with my class a couple of times now. I did think about including ways I have used it but did not want to make the presentation too long. I appreciate your comments.
