    Join us for an exploration of good practice in the generation of educational videos, with a specific focus on the benefits of interactivity.

  • 10:00am – 11:30am: Interactive Videos in Practice
    Building off the keynote, we will introduce you to interactive videos and the different forms they can take. We will share the strengths and limitations of the different types of interactivity (interactive vs. branching interactive) before guiding you step-by-step through the process of building an interactive video. You will have the chance to create questions as we guide you through authoring interactive videos. We will demonstrate how these videos can be embedded into learning management systems (e.g. Canvas) and websites (e.g. WordPress). (Session Recording)

  • 9:00am – 10:00am: H5P in the Age of AI
    In this keynote, we will hear from H5P CEO Svein-Tore With on H5P and Artificial Intelligence. Svein-Tore Griff With, a.k.a. “Falcon,” has led the development of three different open-source tools for interactive content. The most famous of them is H5P with over 200,000 installations and 200 million users worldwide. Svein-Tore has an engineering background, but does little coding these days and spends a lot of his time working on H5P’s road map instead. (Session Recording)

    What makes feedback effective? In this session, we will guide you through the best practices in creating feedback for H5P interactivities and the different ways in which they can be embedded within H5P. (Session Recording)

In these hands-on studio sessions, bring an assignment, practice problems, or course content and get expert support and help as you work on your H5P projects. These are in-person studios and separate registration is required.
