Graduate Study Program Opportunity with full funding – European Master’s in Animal Breeding and Genetics

We have an exciting opportunity to pursue an international Master’s degree that we would be most pleased if you could share opportunity with your current bachelor students in agricultural, and particularly animal, sciences.

The European Master’s in Animal Breeding and Genetics, M.Sc. Joint-Degree program offers students the opportunity to study at the top animal science universities in Europe all while gaining research and industry-wide experience. Students are able to choose from three study tracks taught at 6 different university partners. Furthermore, associated industry partners are highly involved in teaching and research projects. The program is partially course and partially thesis based.

Program university-partners include:

  • Wageningen University, the Netherlands
  • University of Goettingen, Germany
  • AgroParisTech, France
  • University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Austria
  • Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden
  • Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Norway

Applications to apply for full-funding are being accepted until January 15th, 2021.

BCCIC – Leveraging the SDGs for Transformational Change: Case Studies from the Global South Event

How are organizations and activists facilitating transformational change in our existing food systems? 

BC Council for International Cooperation is hosting a virtual panel event titled “Leveraging the SDGs for Transformational Change: Case Studies from the Global South” on November 18th, 8:00am – 10:00am PST. Leading-thinkers from Africa, Asia, and South America will share their wealth of experiences in how working with SDGs can promote transformational change in the Global South.

This event may be of particular interest to those of you who are interested in sustainable food systems since Ntiokam Divine, who has recently been selected as a UN 2021 Champion of the Food Systems Summit, will be speaking directly about his work in agriculture and climate sectors.

The event will consist of a moderated discussion panel for the first hour and a half and the last 30 mins will be dedicated to individual breakout rooms with the panelist of your choice to discuss the topics you are interested in.

We will also have other panelists who will be sharing their expertise in other diverse fields.

Erin Davidson (pronouns: she/her), MA, RCC, is a writer and Registered Clinical Counselor specializing in sex therapy and relationship counselling. She works with clients of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship dynamics to bring more compassion and joy to their connection with their sexuality, their relationships, and themselves. Her first book Thriving in Non-Monogamy: An Ethical Slut’s Guide to Overcoming Jealousy, Enjoying Sex, and Honoring Yourself was released on October 13, 2020.
