University Affairs magazine

Standard

Our award-winning magazine University Affairs is available at no charge to people who work or study at Universities Canada member institutions. Many new faculty members and graduate students are not aware of this. We would like them to enjoy the benefits of a complimentary subscription to our magazine or newsletters, and we are asking you and all other deans in Canada to help us with that.

We at University Affairs would very much appreciate it if you could pass a message along to department heads and other people in your network. I have included some sample text below that you can simply cut-and-paste into an e-mail message or post on a website. The message usually has a great trickle-down effect and we look forward to welcoming many new UBC subscribers again this year.

We thank you for your assistance.

Léo Charbonneau

Editor, University Affairs

P.S. If you do not wish to receive requests like this from University Affairs in the future, please reply to this message with DO NOT CONTACT in the subject line.

University of Miami School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) visiting UBC – Friday, November 15th

Standard

As daylight savings is upon us and the sun sets at 4pm, the idea of studying and working in sunny Miami gets very appealing.

Lucky for us, on Friday, November 15th, a representative from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) will be in the Hakai Node (Rm. 216, AERL Building) for a presentation and a chat on Friday November 15th from 2pm to 3pm.

Your senior undergraduate students may be interested in their Masters programs, while your grad students might be interested in their PhD programs.

Attached are brochures you may want to pass along to your student to flip through to explore the Rosenstiel School programs.

We will see you on Friday!
