Canada Graduate Scholarship – Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplements, Spring 2017 Competition

The Canada Graduate Scholarship – Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplements (CGS-MSFSS) Program supports high-calibre Canadian graduate students pursuing exceptional research experiences at research institutions outside of Canada. This program is available to Canadian citizens or permanent residents who hold a Vanier CGS or a Tri-Agency CGS at the Master’s or doctoral level. Note that international students who hold a Vanier CGS are not eligible for this competition.

Award Value: up to $6,000 for three to six months

Deadline: Friday, 26 May 2017 

CIHR only: Eligible applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. G+PS will forward complete, eligible applications to CIHR as they arrive. Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications well in advance of the deadline.

AGROSYM 2017:The deadline for abstract submission extended: 20th May 2017

We are thankful for all of those who already submitted abstracts for AGROSYM 2017. Please be informed that until 20th of April 2017 we received more than 1000 abstracts from 68 countries (link: http://www.agrosym.rs.ba/index.php/en/about-agrosym) across the world! 

Furthermore, due to many requests to extend the deadline for abstract submission, AGROSYM 2017Organizing committee has decided to provide more time.

The new deadline for abstract submission is now fixed onMay 20th 2017
Reminder:
The VIII International Agriculture Symposium “AGROSYM 2017”, will be held in Jahorina mountain, near Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), 5-8 October 2017.

AGROSYM 2017 will deal with seven thematic areas: (1) Plant Production (2) Plant Protection and Food Safety (3) Organic Agriculture (4) Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Management (5) Animal Husbandry (6) Rural Development and Agro-Economy (7) Forestry and Agro-Forestry.

KPU Tsawwassen Farm School Job Posting

The farm school program that I manage at KPU is looking to hire a full-time farm worker at the farm. We are looking for people between ages 15 and 30, and they must be a returning full time student in the fall.
