Sustainability Research Symposium: Call for Graduate Student Presenters

Standard

Dear students,

On behalf of the UBC Sustainability Ambassadors, this is a call for participants to take part in the third annual UBC Sustainability Research Symposium on Wednesday, March 15th, 2017 at the Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability (CIRS).

The Sustainability Research Symposium is a one day symposium designed to showcase the spectrum of UBC graduate research surrounding sustainability through research posters. The symposium aims to provide further opportunities for graduate students to share current research and to build sustainability education and awareness within the UBC community. In addition to showcasing their research, participants will have an opportunity to network and engage with other students and faculty members. The symposium is open to students engaged in social, economic, and environmental sustainability related research.

The event will run from 10:30am to 3:30pm. The symposium will include:

  • Faculty guest speakers with Q & A
  • Graduate poster session walk-around
  • Complimentary lunch

If you are interested in participating in the Sustainability Research Symposium, please fill out the web form below by February 15th, 2017.

Research posters must be 36 x 48”. To show our appreciation for your participation at this event, we are offering to print your poster free of charge. If you would like us to print your poster, please indicate this on the form and send us your final poster PowerPoint slide by February 27th, 2017; if we do not receive your slide by this time you will be responsible for printing your own poster.

More information will be provided after the application submission process. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at sustainability.ambassadors@ubc.ca. As space is limited, we would advise submitting your application as early as possible.
