Graduate Student Forum re: minimum funding and part-time registration for PhD students

Standard

The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, together with the Graduate Student Society, will be hosting an information forum for graduate students about the (i) proposed university-wide minimum funding package for PhD students and (ii) the proposed option of part-time PhD registration. Though both proposals will not affect current students directly (the proposals affect students starting their UBC PhD program in September 2018 or later), we encourage current graduate students who are interested in these important issues to bring their questions and suggestions.

The forum will be held from 12:00-1:30pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in the GSS Ballroom. As space is limited and a light lunch will be provided, students are asked to register for this event. Details and a link to the online registration form can be found at: https://www.grad.ubc.ca/about-us/events/15973-forum-incoming-graduate-students
