Genome BC is looking for someone keen on teaching to help out with their summer program (paid position) and Let’s Talk Science will be hosting a booth for Indigenous Solidarity Day and we are looking for volunteers for the event.

Indigenous Solidarity Day at Trout Lake

Join us as we celebrate National Indigenous Day at Trout Lake with a community-based, full day of events set to showcase and celebrate the diversity of Indigenous people across Canada. First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people gather to share their spirit, experiences, stories, songs, art and dance with each other and the general community – with a whole day of entertainment, activities, and fun planned for the whole family. Let’s talk science will be hosting a booth at the kid’s zone where we will be doing hands-n activities like DIY Slime and Candy DNA!

Volunteers are needed urgently

When: June 21, 2018 at 12pm-6pm

Join the Geneskool team!

The Genome BC Geneskool Summer Science Program for Teens runs 20-24 Aug, 2018 at Capilano University in North Vancouver. Throughout the week, participants aged 14-18 utilize real-world scientific techniques to solve a crime. Reporting to the Summer Program Director, the successful candidate will be a lead facilitator of workshops during camp and support the Summer Program Director in other duties (more details below). This position is best suited to someone with a strong background in genetics and a demonstrated passion for youth education. Previous experience with the Genome BC Geneskool program is preferred.
