The UBC Sustainability Initiative (USI) is again offering UBC graduate students the opportunity to work in funded sustainability internship projects. Projects begin October 21. Current UBC graduate students from all academic disciplines are eligible to apply.

The UBC Sustainability Initiative (USI) is pleased to offer UBC graduate students the opportunity to work in funded sustainability internship projects.

We are currently accepting applications for 7 sustainability-related internships that will commence October 21. Current UBC graduate students from all academic disciplines are eligible to apply.

Successful candidates will work under the mentorship of a partner organization, and are immersed in real world learning where they can apply their research skills and contribute to advancing organizational sustainability goals. Each Scholar receives $21 per hour to complete 250 hours of work.

PRSSS Student Research Award Applications

The Pacific Regional Society of Soil Science is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for two student research awards.

The Les Lavkulich Graduate Student Award in Soil Science (one award of $5000) and the Art Bomke Undergraduate Student Award (one award of $3000) will be awarded to students on the basis of academic achievement, research proposal, leadership/community service, financial need, and letters of recommendation. The application deadline is November 8, 2019.

The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is producing a new video to promote graduate studies at UBC, and is looking to use any recorded video footage of graduate students at work. At most they would use only a few seconds of video, as they hope to include as many fields as possible to reflect the wide variety of programs available at the university.
