New Award Funding for Racialized Grad Students Engagement Sessions

Standard

UBC Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (G+PS) recognizes that People of Colour face systemic barriers to higher education and are not represented among researchers to parallel their representation in the Canadian population. Therefore, new award funding will be made available to Black and graduate students of colour.

GPS is now inviting racialized graduate students to engagement sessions to contribute to this thinking about what kind of awards might meet the needs of these students.

You all participated in discussions about new award funding for racialized graduate students this summer. We’re now rolling those discussions out as engagement sessions with students themselves.

We would appreciate any help you might be able to offer to spread the word about these sessions to your grad students.

Many thanks!
