POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN ANIMAL AG SUSTAINABILITY & SOCIAL SCIENCE – UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON

 

The food systems research team at the University of Washington is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to conduct research and outreach focused on complexity and tradeoffs in animal agriculture sustainability, and on building awareness and trust between producers and consumers. The work focuses on understanding and addressing mismatches in producer/consumer understanding and decision-making around environmental impact and animal welfare in beef, pork, and poultry (broiler) production. This position involves extensive collection and analysis of qualitative data and requires strong social science research skills, and will afford an opportunity to build interdisciplinary collaborations spanning research, education, and outreach.
