Video Analysis in Science Teaching: How technology can help us to get students excitied about science
When I am asked how technology can affect student science learning and why it has a potential of making a difference, I often think of the questions one can ask and answer today that could have have been asked or answered even 50 years ago. If I were to ask you how a water droplet falls on he surface of the water, you could have tried to answer theoretically. However today, modern technologies allow us not only to imagine what is happening there, but also to SEE what is going on. I find high speed videos a very powerful resource for science teaching. I use Vernier Video Analysis a lot and having high speed video to analyze makes it many times more fun and meaningful.
