Making Science Relevant…

Being a science teacher is not a job, to me it is a way of life… A few days ago I experienced a very interesting phenomenon – an air inversion – when the temperature on the ground in cooler than the temperature in the mountain. As a result, you might have clouds in the city (as Vancouver) and very clear skies in the mountains… While I have heard about it before, I have never experienced it the way I experienced it a few days ago. This is a photo taken by my husband from West Lion Peak a few days ago that shows Vancouver covered in the clouds… What a great opportunity to discuss science in class that truly relates to everyday lives of our students…
