UBC Summer Grad Course in Technology-enhanced STEM Education
Dear friends:
I would appreciate if you could help me distribute this information among your colleagues (K-12 and university teachers and students) and friends who might be interested in taking part in my summer graduate course exploring technology use in mathematics and science education (K-12 and college): EDCP 585B_2014 Milner-Bolotin_Final. I will teach it at the end of July – beginning of August (3 weeks only): Click here for registration. I know some of you have taken it already (and I sincerely hope you enjoyed it). I have still a few spots left and it would be great if we had a few more people interested in mathematics and science teaching and learning registered in the course. I am attaching the syllabus. Notice, if you decide to enrol in UBC graduate programs at a later date, this course will count as a graduate course. Moreover, as a grad student at SFU you can take UBC courses as well.
For some preview about what we are going to do in the course, see my blog (from a parallel course I taught for an online Masters in Educational Technology Program last summer) https://blogs.ubc.ca/mmilner/2013/08/04/educational-tutorials-from-etec533-course/
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to e-mail me. Course success depends on the participants as much as it depends on me.
Warm wishes, M.
