Choice: Badminton

Based on your knowledge from previous lessons, choose which type of warm up you would like to pursue, and complete the movements activities listed on the talks cards provided;

Defense against smash or moving opponent to create open space.

20 Defensive stance shuffles/side

10 Lunge and twists

10 burpees

10 superman crawls

Partner tennis ball catch

Simon Says Agility: place two cones 3 feet apart. Player #1 stands in the middle of the cones. Player #2 tells player #1 which cone to touch(right or left). Gradually Increase speed. Switch after 10.

 

3  Stretches of your choice.

Shuffle forward (gym length)

Shuffle backward (gym length)

Arm Swings(10 each direction/each arm)

10 Jump and swings

10 burpees

1 minuet: Throw and catch tennis ball with partner. Taking one step back every time you catch the ball.

1 minuet: Try to move your partner forward and backwards by throwing the tennis ball short and far.

3 stretches of your choice.

 

After 10 minuets, class is engaged in discussion, explaining with activity they chose and why.
