Choice: Inventing Warm-ups

Inventing Warm-ups:

Procedures:

-Each group will have to invent a 15-20 minuet Warm-up that they will then teach to the class.

1) Create a name for your group:

2) Explain what you chose to do (running activity, game activity, dance activity etc):

3) Explain why you chose what you did: What you want the class to be able to do and understand (health benefits, sports benefits, fun etc):

4) Explain how you will do this warm-up (rules, group sizes, goals of game, action: running, kicking, walking, throwing etc):

5) Safety precautions: each person in your group must create a safety rule/precaution.

6) As a group, decide upon a list of qualities that you think a leader should possess (one per person).

7) Flexibility component: Must contain at least 5 mins of stretching. List 5 possible stretches.

8) What equipment will you need? Keep it minimal! Must be approved by teacher.

Possible activities: games, yoga, stretching, tag games, school track meet type games and relays etc.
