How to register – by payment type
Tuition is due at the time of registration for each individual course. We are unable to accept pre-payment for courses beyond each registration cycle. Once you have paid for your courses, visit Workday to see that the course will appear on your timetable to confirm your registration (allow 2 business days for this update). Available options for course payments are as follows.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept any other forms of payment outside of the ones listed below; this includes payments by EFT, wire transfers, or online bank transfers from any financial institutions.
Paying for your courses by Visa or MasterCard
- Go to myUBCDAP Dashboard – Register Now.
- Select individual courses from the Select Course menu and add to shopping cart.
- Once all courses have been selected, select Checkout from the shopping cart and follow steps to proceed with payment.
- Upon submission of payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that your registration has been received; if you don’t receive this email, please contact our office.
Paying for your courses by certified cheque/bank draft/money order (issued by a Canadian bank)
- Go to myUBCDAP Dashboard – Register Now.
- Download and complete the registration form for the given term and submit with payment in the corresponding amount.
*Please note that as the DAP office is currently closed to the public, we are only accepting the registration form and payment by mail to the DAP office. It is strongly recommended for students to register online if possible; however, if submission of the printed registration form with payment by certified cheque/bank draft/money order (issued by a Canadian bank) is the only available option for you, it is strongly advised that you use a trackable method of delivery. - Once our office receives your registration form and payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail once your registration has been processed.
Deferred payment of tuition fees for Canadian student loan applicants
Students paying tuition with Canadian government issued student loans can request a deferral of your tuition payment until the start of classes. The steps to register for this deferral are as follows:
- Go to Register Now – Registration Form.
- Download and complete the registration form for the given term and submit with proof of your student loan application by email to askdap@sauder.ubc.ca:
- If you’ve applied for a full-time loan, a screenshot from the online student loan application showing your name and student loan application status would be sufficient.
- If you’ve applied for a part-time loan, bring your paper loan application form to UBC Enrolment Services Advising Centre, located at Brock Hall (1874 East Mall), and ask to take a copy of the LAST page of the form after it’s been stamped by their staff. A copy of this last page is all that’s required as supplemental documentation of your student loan application. Alternatively, email confirmation from Enrolment Services to confirm that your part-time loan application is received will be accepted as well.
- Once our office receives your registration form and proof of student loan application, you will receive a confirmation e-mail once your registration has been processed, along with instructions on how to pay your tuition fees once you’ve received your funds.
Non-Diploma Student Registration
- Go to myUBCDAP Dashboard – Register Now.
- Select individual courses from the Select Course menu and add to shopping cart.
- Once all courses have been selected, select Checkout from the shopping cart and follow steps to proceed with payment (either Visa or MasterCard will be accepted).
- Upon submission of payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that your registration has been received; if you don’t receive this email, please contact our office.
If you are not able to proceed register for courses directly through the myUBCDAP Dashboard portal:
- Go to Register Now – Registration Form.
- Download and complete the registration form for the applicable term and submit this by email to dap@sauder.ubc.ca:
- Once our office receives your registration form and has validated your Non-Diploma status, you will receive a confirmation e-mail on next steps with how to submit your tuition fees to complete your course registration.
