Course selection
The program has been designed to allow you flexibility to select the number of courses that meet your personal schedule, so when selecting your courses, please be sure to keep the following in mind:
- Review the core curriculum course list to review prerequisites and co-requisites for each course to ensure you have met the prerequisites for any planned course in an earlier term
- If you need to be enrolled on a full-time basis, please review the course load definitions to understand the UBC enrolment definitions for full-time or part-time students.
- If you are an international student, make sure to review UBC’s enrolment definitions for immigration purposes, as your enrolment status each term may have implications on your immigration status and your eligibility to work.

Guided pathway for 16-month program completion
Students typically complete the program in 18-24 months. The minimum program completion time while maintaining continuous, full-time enrolment is 16 months. In order to do so, follow the guided program pathway:
