Within the higher education community, I currently serve on two non-profit boards including the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (a national organization within Canada) and the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (an international organization).

As a member of the Board of Directors (governing body) of both of these organizations, I support each society’s mission and vision by:

• Contributing to financial decisions with the goal of ensuring the financial health of each organization
• Contributing to leadership decisions and strategic decision-making for each organization
• Ensuring that each organization stays accountable to its members and donors
• Contributing to organizational planning and and project implementation
• Developing and supporting each society’s programs and services, based on member need
