As an educator, I believe that it is important to clearly articulate my beliefs and values about teaching and learning, so that there is transparency for my students, in who I am and what I am trying to accomplish as an educator.
Some of the areas that I discuss in my teaching philosophy include:
- Why teaching?
- Teaching for global citizenship and responsibility
- Humanism and construtivism in learning environments
- Instructional strategies
- Teaching for diversity
- Creating inclusive classrooms to model healthy communities
- My commitment to teaching
