Teaching Philosophy

As an educator, I believe that it is important to clearly articulate my beliefs and values about teaching and learning, so that there is transparency for my students, in who I am and what I am trying to accomplish as an educator.

Some of the areas that I discuss in my teaching philosophy include:

  • Why teaching?
  • Teaching for global citizenship and responsibility
  • Humanism and construtivism in learning environments
  • Instructional strategies
  • Teaching for diversity
  • Creating inclusive classrooms to model healthy communities
  • My commitment to teaching
