In 2006 and 2007 I worked as a teacher at Bloom Public School, in New Delhi, India. Bloom Public School is a private co-educational English medium school that provides education to children from pre-school to grade 12 (preparatory school to class 12). Bloom’s mission statement is “When a child enters Bloom, he/she joins a community of students who are: self learners and academically sound; investigativeĀ in spirit and conscious of their role in society; confident; wholesome personalities with good communication skills; focused on careers; sensitive to find and performing arts; and keen on their physical pursuits.
At Bloom Public School I worked as a teacher and taught English, French, Art, and Social Studies to students in Grades 4 and 5. While I was teaching at Bloom Public School I involved the school in a Global Arts Exchange, through the University of Victoria’s Children’s Global Arts Project.
