Hello, my name is Teija and I am a first year MA student in the SACP program at UBC. I am originally from Sudbury, Ontario which is where I attended Laurentian University and obtained my B.A in Psychology. From there, I continued my studies obtaining a postgraduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science from Algonquin College. My studies allowed for opportunities to work as a Research Assistant as well as an Instructor Therapist at an ABA organization. My research interests include supports for students on the Autism spectrum as well as examining parental stress and capturing the experiences of parents advocating for their child diagnosed with ASD. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring Vancouver and seeing what it has to offer!
