It’s the New Year!!! Happy 2017 everyone J As they say, new year new me, and here are some way to improve your mental health for the new year.
- Get enough sleep
- Pay attention to your feelings
- Spend time in nature
- Pursue a hobby
- Laugh often
- Grieve your losses
- Accept yourself, imperfections and flaws
- Only try to change yourself and not others
- Ask for help
- Spend less time in front of your phone
- Connect with friends and family
- Practice gratitude
- Express your feelings
- Exercise
- Remember it is okay to say no
- Forgive yourself
- Limit alcohol, caffeine
- Spend some time alone
- Listen to your instincts
- Practice deep, calming breathing
There are many more ways to improve your mental health but the above are some ways to release the stress and improve your way of thinking. Listening to yourself and understanding your own body is important to lead a happy and healthy life. Remember to take time for yourself and don’t overwork yourself, and be positive.
