List of ways to improve Mental Health

It’s the New Year!!! Happy 2017 everyone J As they say, new year new me, and here are some way to improve your mental health for the new year.

  1. Get enough sleep
  2. Pay attention to your feelings
  3. Spend time in nature
  4. Pursue a hobby
  5. Laugh often
  6. Grieve your losses
  7. Accept yourself, imperfections and flaws
  8. Only try to change yourself and not others
  9. Ask for help
  10. Spend less time in front of your phone
  11. Connect with friends and family
  12. Practice gratitude
  13. Express your feelings
  14. Exercise
  15. Remember it is okay to say no
  16. Forgive yourself
  17. Limit alcohol, caffeine
  18. Spend some time alone
  19. Listen to your instincts
  20. Practice deep, calming breathing

There are many more ways to improve your mental health but the above are some ways to release the stress and improve your way of thinking. Listening to yourself and understanding your own body is important to lead a happy and healthy life. Remember to take time for yourself and don’t overwork yourself, and be positive.
