Self-Care List

Here is a list of different self-care and relaxation activities you can do, most of which I have used to make myself feel a little better and happier overall:

o Reading your favorite book

o Reading a new book (a good one is Milk and Honey, it’s a quick read)

o Watching your favorite movie

o Getting a manicure/pedicure (or both!)

o Making the perfect cup of tea

o Taking a bath (with or without bath-bombs or soaks)

o Taking a nap (30 minute or 90 minute)

o Going on a walk

o Going on a hike

o Not putting on makeup for a day

o Doing yoga

o Meditating

o Writing in a journal

o Baking cookies or cupcakes

o Getting pretty flowers for your home

o Listening to sweet, relaxing music (I’d recommend Daughter, Fleet Foxes, and Of Monsters & Men)

o Doing laundry or tidying up in general (this is surprisingly very relaxing for me)

o Stretching

o Playing an instrument

o Creating art (painting, drawing, sketching, and so on)

o Lighting nice smelling candles around your home

o Taking a warm shower to clear your head

These are all things you can do regularly to keep yourself in a nice mood or to clear your head. I know that they’re not revolutionary to hear but sometimes being reminded of the little thing you can do to take care of yourself and make yourself feel more relaxed and clear-headed is nice.
