Internship Database and other resources
Hi Class,
As P2 comes to an end, we just wanted to highlight a few resources you can explore on Connect/myMBA Career and remind you of Mock Interview E on Interview Stream:
The Internship Database (on Connect=>myMBA Career)
This database allows you to search previous projects to get a glimpse at what former students have done during their three month summer window. Learning about which companies have taken a student in the past might be particularly interesting. You will also be able to read about their learning opportunities and challenges past MBAs faced during their summers from their own perspective.
You can search previous internships based on Year | Role/Title | Industry or Project Specialization.
Also, make sure you visit/research the Sauder Career Success Cycle and check the Book of Lists 2013 from Business in Vancouver (My PD Journey=>Phase 1).
Cheers,
BCC

As communicated, the direction and expectation is that all students are represented in the class resume book.
If you are one of the few who have not completed this important task, please do so this weekend/end of business Monday.

Talk by Dr. Jerome Rive, Dean of the IAE Lyon School of Management
Students and Faculty are invited to attend a talk by Dr. Jerome Rive, Dean of the IAE Lyon School of Management at University Lyon 3
Friday, November 22nd at 3:00 – 3:40 pm
Sauder School of Business, Room HA 243
Presentation title:
French perspective on International Business and Management of Multinational Companies
Presentation Summary:
The presentation will be based on a collective undertaking involving 21 members of the International Management team of the IAE Lyon School of Management Research Center which resulted in the publication of a book, edited by Dr. Ulrike Mayrhofer in 2013; « Management of Multinational Companies: A French Perspective ». The presentation will focus on companies, established or operating in France, which engage in foreign direct investments and own or control added-value businesses in different countries. While multinational management has already been widely studied by scholars, the aim of the presentation is to provide an in-depth reflection over a cross-section of firms that are either French or operate in France. It will show the importance of contextualizing MNC theory and will reveal the variety and complexity of managerial choices when national markets are decompartmentalised.
