CLC: Great Book for MBA Students
There are lots of great books about marketing yourself in the Lam Library/Canaccord Learning Commons (CLC).
Our newest career management book is called “Forget a mentor; Find a sponsor”, published by Harvard Business Review Press.
The book is so new that it isn’t even out on the shelf yet. Ask Jan, if you would like to borrow our copy.
This book is really useful for MBA’s looking to make themselves attractive to potential employers.
Among the pieces of good advice are:
- How to find and convert someone to be your sponsor
- How to get the word out about your successes
- How to create a personal appearance that fits in with your desired marketplace
- How to dream your own vision for success
The book is written in plain English and is easy to skim. It is recommend it to anyone wanting to succeed in the workplace.
